Mike Feehan works as a graphic designer at Memorial University during the day and spends his nights working as an illustrator, storyboard, and comic book artist. He is currently working on two top-secret, creator-owned comic series that should be announced this later fall. We’re very excited to have him as a guest artist here at Rehearsals Rehearsals and hope this will be the first of many limited edition screen prints illustrated by Mike.

We’re so excited to welcome Amery Sandford as a guest artist here on Rehearsals Rehearsals. Amery has been blowing minds as an artist, printmaker, collaborator, curator and musician, since moving to St. John’s less than two years ago. She’s currently making her way to Nashville to work at letterpress printmaking giant HATCH SHOW PRINT in Nashville where she will be working and creating new art prints for the next few months. We can’t wait to see what she comes back with!
Amery has printed two very small edition screen prints – only 7 in each edition! Both are 11 x 14 on BFK Rives paper (made in France). Check them out, again, we only have 7 copies of each so they won’t last long.
We were set up at two print fairs last weekend at Rocket Room in St. John’s, and are going to be setup selling our wares at two more this Saturday, November 28th. Find us at Twisted Sisters on Water St., AND at the Goulds Craft Fair at the Goulds Rec Centre all afternoon. We’ll be selling many of our prints and the fresh off the presses GOULDS RULES shirts. Come say hi!
We just added a few new prints we made in recent months but hadn’t had a chance to add to the website yet. Scroll up to the top and check out our Fortunate Ones art prints, Elliott Brood & TURF posters, and “Goulds Rules” t-shirts. Fun times!
These new screen prints were made for Elliott Brood and will be for sale on this site soon. We kept 10 and send the rest of the batch on to the band who have them on sale on their current tour. Drop us a line if you want one put on hold before they go up for sale. firstname.lastname@example.org
We’re going to have a table selling whatever we have in stock at The Plantation’s Christmas Print Fair in Quidi Vidi on December 6th, 2014. From 11 am to 4 pm. Stop by and grab some goodies for Christmas presents. There are going to be a lot of local artists and craftspeople showing off their best work.
We thought it would be fun to make a series of typography based prints. These are all 8 x 10, and on sale now.
Edition of 25
The second new shirt is what we’ve been calling the ‘reaper rat’. Its basically a grim-reaper style cloak, with a rat face, all hand drawn and compiled of the lyrics from Mark Bragg’s new album (Your Kiss). The shirt doesn’t actually have Mark’s name on it anywhere, but its a pretty damn cool shirt. We printed 25 of this shirt on 100% cotton American Apparel blanks.
Link to purchase is coming soon.
Its been a great run leading in to the holidays. Lots of orders going out, thanks to every one that has been ordering prints and shirts!
Happy to report that three more of our 18 x 24 prints are now sold out. The boy in the river, Tegan and Sara and The Blue Rodeo are all sold out. Last we checked, Blue Rodeo had some copies of the poster we designed for them on sale on www.bluerodeo.com We have 2 copies of this Cold Specks poster left in stock, not enough to add it to the e-commerce store on this site, but email us (email@example.com) if you would like one.
This has been a really fun project to research and design. These new art prints are each hand screen printed at downtown St. John’s studio on 100lb art paper. Signed and numbered. There are two sizes – 18 x 12 (creme) and 20 x 16 (white).
The Wallace Shirt
Edition of 80 (less than 10 left)
The first is ‘the Wallace shirt’. We printed 80 Wallace shirts and had advance orders for 70, so stocks are very limited (less than 10) if you’re interested in one. All proceeds are being used to buy Wallace something nice for Christmas, we love that guy!
Jud Haynes and Krista Power are graphic designers and illustrators in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Often times they create limited edition screen print posters and t-shirts at their Water Street studio they have affectionately called Rehearsals Rehearsals (Rehearsals Rehearsals was the name The Clash called their rehearsal space back in the late 70’s).
This website’s focus is as a SHOP to allow folks to order screen prints from our studio online, but we also encourage folks to drop us a line if you are looking for a graphic designer, illustrator or some custom screen print work for your own project.
